A Lunarian is a resident of the southern Solaran region and often associated with demons. However, only decades ago, they were merely Solaran descendants who traveled to settle the wild lands.

History[]

After the initial settlement of Solaris, Dominic was made the king of its southern realm which he named Lunaria honoring the night god Cazik. The southern realm was somehow untouched by the artificial light provided by the Solaran pillar. Dominic soon became irrationally envious of its light and demanded a pillar of his own. He pledged to destroy Solaris if he was denied.

Known residents[]

Other than the Shrouders, there are a number of normal people living in the southern region:

Darrick and Skath[]

Main article: Skath

Two men journeying to uncover the reason behind their existence, they meet Aer Soroval and volunteer to escort her as she seeks to find her missing brother.

The Wildwind Tribe[]

Main article: Wildwind

Settling in the Thousand Land desert, the Wildwind Tribe is a samaritan community which does not alienate strangers. Twin sisters, Tiffanna and Tikei are good friends with Aer Soroval.

The Waywards[]

Main article: Wayward

While a nomadic tribe with no true home, the Waywards do tend to visit Lunaria far more often than Solaris due to the expanse of unsettled wilderness. Known members include Leviticus Athanasius and his son Makkius Leviticus.

The Three Geniuses[]

Main article: Three Geniuses

Although originally of Solaris, the Geniuses Aeon Digeros, Philionis van Durlo, and Amandus Lefaris exchanged their services for the cessation of Lunarian hostility against their former home. They would go on to construct, at King Dominic's behest, the Unending Road, a tower meant to light the realm as the Pillar of Light does for Solaris. However, unknown atmospheric conditions interfered with the installation's efficacy.

The Ciphers[]

Main article: Wayward

With the discovery of the creature of Phantom Deep, Aeon Digeros began to realize that Lunarians were all affected by a kind of mind-altering virus. Realizing he and his associates could be affected, he created the Ciphers to continue his work. Upon the death of Digeros, Cipher Janus was programmed with Aeon's mind and went on to call himself Voltaire. Upon the disappearances of Lefaris and van Durlo, he took control of the Unending Road, by now referred to as the Dark Pillar, and used Ciphers Madeiros and Diaz to assist in his own ends.

Soulstorm, the Demon of Riene[]

Main article: Soulstorm

An ancient creature discovered in Phantom Deep, a crater located beyond the Wastelands in the region of Lunaria, Aeon Digeros had it relocated to the Unending Road. It's name was coined by Voltaire after taking control of the Dark Pillar. The truth of its existence is that it was an alien life-form that crashed on the planet Riene, the occupants of which quickly discovered its potential as a weapon, enhanced it through technomanced experiments and, after losing control, captured and banished it to a neighboring planet. This resulted in the previous uninhabitable planet spontaneously terra-forming and spawning a race of creatures known as the D'raka.
